WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Today, non-profit organization Stand Up for Science announced the launch of Science Victory Fund, a new independent expenditure-only political action committee (“Super PAC”) dedicated to advocating for pro-science candidates and policy. The organization will focus its resources on select Congressional midterm races this November.

“Stand Up for Science has been mobilizing the fight for science and democracy since 2025. With the launch of Science Victory Fund, we are taking the fight to the polls to ensure voices advocating for science, truth and free thought are heard.

We need good leaders with integrity who support evidence-based decision making and truth over blind loyalty to a party or person. Science Victory Fund will promote candidates who will stand up for science and fight back against the dismantling of our scientific ecosystem and democratic systems,” said Dr. Colette Delawalla, Founder and CEO of Stand Up for Science.

“This is a critical election, and the first opportunity for voters to put a stop to the war on science at the ballot box. Science Victory Fund will work to expand the map, with a particular focus on supporting pro-science candidates with volunteer energy and paid media that aren’t in the national spotlight,” said Vincent Vertuccio, Political Director of Science Victory Fund.

The Science Victory Fund’s efforts will include multi-modal paid media campaigns and activating our volunteer base to reach voters through grassroots outreach. Its strategic priorities for the 2026 midterms are flippable districts where pro-science candidates are challenging loyalists to Trump’s war on science.

The committee is actively building its donor network and expects to announce its initial round of candidate endorsements in the coming weeks.

Delawalla and Vertuccio are available for comment and media appearances.
